A woman, a deacon, reads from the Gospel book

Deacon

The Rev. Liz Van Dyke is an ordained deacon appointed by Bishop Greg Rickel to serve at St. John’s.  As a long-time member of St. Philip’s, Liz sensed a call to serve as a deacon and began the discernment process in early 2014. While she was serving as a worship leader and volunteer administrator at St. Philip’s, Liz was developing her gifts for gathering and empowering others to serve the needy and began attending formation weekends with the deacon community.
